1. Why is OmniFlex called “A New Approach to Joint Health”?
Most joint supplements now being marketed contain glucosamine and chondroitin as the primary ingredients. These ingredients are claimed to relieve pain by rebuilding cartilage, but most independent clinical studies have shown little or no pain relief.
OmniFlex contains the natural anti-inflammatory ingredients, Fish Oil, Rose Hips, Krill Oil and Pine Bark Extract, coupled with the lubricating and cartilage rebuilding properties of hydrolyzed Type II Collagen. There are no other products currently being sold that include all of these ingredients at effective dosage levels.
2. What does “effective levels” of the five ingredients mean?
Natural substances achieve the desired effect of restoring balance when an established quantity of the active substance is administered over a given time period. The dosage levels used in OmniFlex reflect dose levels that were used to demonstrate the clinical effectiveness of the individual ingredients in relieving joint pain and stiffness.
3. Who should take OmniFlex?
OmniFlex was developed for people with the classic symptoms of Osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is an extremely prevalent condition in middle age, and affects a majority of people over 60. The most common symptom of Osteoarthritis is pain in the affected joint(s) after repetitive use. Joint pain is usually worse later in the day. There can be swelling, warmth, and creaking of the affected joints. Pain and stiffness of the joints can also occur after long periods of inactivity, for example, sitting in a car or theater. In severe Osteoarthritis, complete loss of cartilage cushion causes friction between bones, causing pain at rest or pain with limited motion. Pain, commonly in the hands, hips, knees, or feet, and sometimes in the spine, is usually related to activity of the joint and is worse at the end of the day or after periods of activity.
4. How long will it take to see a reduction in joint pain and stiffness?
Based on clinical experience with OmniFlex, significant relief usually starts in 2 to 3 weeks, and further reduction in pain and stiffness generally continues in the following weeks. It is important to realize and appreciate that OmniFlex is not a drug. Analgesic and NSAID drugs provide quick and temporary relief, but carry serious risks with chronic use. Continued use of these drugs while using OmniFlex is generally not necessary, but might prove useful in acute situations.
5. Are there any side effects to using OmniFlex?
Unlike drug products, natural products do not generally interfere with normal physiologic processes. In addition to having no side effects, OmniFlex actually provides ancillary health benefits, which promote overall well-being as an added bonus to treating your joint problem. Prominent among these benefits are the positive impact of Omega-3’s on cardiovascular health and Collagen II on skin health, in fact the patented BCII complex has been shown to moisturize and rejuvenate skin and to smooth premature lines and wrinkles.
6. How many pills should I take per day?
OmniFlex has been formulated to include five powerful joint supplements that have been shown to reduce pain and inflammation in various joint conditions. Depending on the severity of your symptoms, it is recommended that one capsule be taken 1 to 3 times daily, preferably with meals.
7. Are there any restrictions as to who can take OmniFlex?
The individual active components in OmniFlex have been used extensively with no reports of adverse reactions, however people with shellfish allergy, coagulopathy or taking anticoagulants or other medications should notify their physician and be tested prior to taking dietary supplements. If you are pregnant or nursing, consult your physician before taking this product.
8. Where do you get your ingredients?
While all nutritional supplements are now required to comply with the FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices, that does not mean all supplement makers use the highest quality and most effective raw materials. On the other hand, OmniFlex is proud to use only premium ingredients of the highest quality from extremely reputable suppliers. The Fish Oil comes from a supplier in Nova Scotia, the Rose Hips, Krill Oil and Pine Bark Extract is made in the United States; and last but not least, the patented, hydrolyzed Type 2 Collagen in OmniFlex is exclusively manufactured by BioCell Technology out of California.
9. Does the Fish Oil in OmniFlex contain mercury?
Mercury consumption can be measured in two ways: the amount of micrograms of mercury per gram of fish and the total micrograms of mercury consumed within a particular period of time. The FDA recommends consuming fish that have no more than 1.0 microgram of mercury per gram of fish at any given time, and no more than 12 ounces (or 340 grams) per week of fish that fall into this category. 12 ounces of fish that have 1 microgram of mercury per gram of flesh comes out to 340 total micrograms of mercury per week. The mercury level in the Fish Oil contained in OmniFlex, at .01 micrograms per gram of fish oil, is well under the established safe mercury limits recommended by the FDA. In terms of total consumption in one week, if you are taking two OmniFlex capsules per day, with each capsule containing .005 micrograms of mercury, your total weekly mercury intake comes to .07 micrograms. In a nutshell, the amount of mercury in your weekly intake of OmniFlex is approximately 5000 times less than what you would get eating the FDA recommended amount of fish per week.
